Summer 2004, the Parisien Haute Couture Maison’s Sun Collection is feminine and elegant. Including some of Givenchy’s iconic details taken from the handbag and shoe collections, such as the round stud or the 4G logo in metal or with stones, the Sun collection has a “modern classic” feel.
This season’s styles combine varying materials such as acetate temples with 3pc metal mounts or full rim eye shapes, as well as the more modern injected frames. Eye shapes range from deep, wraparound styles to smaller oval or rectangular shapes.
A novelty this season can be found in the lenses – NXT, the polymer preventing stress-cracking, loosening screws and broken lenses and PC Bi-toric lenses, which softly wrap around the face.
Acetate, metal and injected colours are sober and warm including brown, bordeaux and lilac, which contrast with the classic mono-colour and trendy flash mirror lenses in rose, light blue, camel and violet.
