Stella McCartney Sunglasses

Stella McCartney sunglasses offer an excellent reflection on Stella McCartney's latest collection. Designing sunglasses involves the consideration of the latest catwalk trends as well as past seasons' highs and lows. Stella McCartney's sunglasses collection really does offer a varied and exciting choice.

Stella McCartney's new eyewear range is feminine with an emphasis on glamour. The new collection comes in a variety of oversized silhouettes and distinctive shapes in unique colour and material finishes.

The new collection features a variety of styles accentuated by contrasting design features: The acetate frames come in a sun wrap style with an extra large aviator silhouette, a large frame accented by overlapping coloured lines, and an oversized rounded frame finished with slim, refined metal temples coated in a tonal varnish finish. While lightweight metal silhouettes come with a full rounded-edge lens.

All models are etched or serigraphed with “Stella McCartney,” at the temple corner.

The new collection features a striking colour effect: a unique finish on the rounded edge gives the acetate frames a pleasing, subtly laminated effect highlighting the original colour contrasts.

The acetate range combines unusual shades in surprising combinations; brown with yellow and grey lenses, orange combined with grey and brown lenses, and burgundy combined with pink and mauve lenses. While for a more delicate and feminine combination, the metal frames feature fading shades of brown, grey and pink, with matching lenses, as well as luminous shades of sky blue with pink lenses, and olive green with dark grey lenses.

Stella McCartney graduated from St Martin’s in 1995 and her final year collection had the rare accolade of being bought by influential stores such as Browns, Joseph, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. She launched her own line immediately on leaving college. Her style of combining sharp tailoring with humour and sexy femininity was immediately apparent in her first collection. In 1997, after only two collections, she became the creative director of the house of Chloe in Paris. Chloe’s commercial success was stratospheric during Stella McCartney’s tenure and her collections and advertising campaigns for the house of Chloe were universally praised by both buyers and press. Stella McCartney was awarded the VH1 / Vogue Fashion and Music 2000 Designer of the Year award. In April 2001 Stella McCartney resigned from Chloe and launched her own fashion house under her name in partnership with Gucci Group. In October 2001 Stella McCartney showed her first collection, Spring / Summer 2002, in Paris.
