Versace is one of the biggest known names in fashion today. With such a huge following and vast and varied collection Versace is a highly sought after fashion brand. Being such a famous brand Versace had to ensure that Versace sunglasses matched the brand as a whole and would meet the standards set by the catwalk and their seasons' collections. Versace sunglasses meet these criteria and what you are left with is one of the most desirable sunglasses brands in the world.
Trends Predominately oversize acetate frames in 'hollywood' shapes and styles for both men and women. A major trend for mido 2004 is the black frame/white arms colour combo (4037m). Black, red, white, pearlised and transparent are the colour trends in this new collection. Incredible visual effects in the frames continue to appear, achieved by blending, marbling and tinting plastics in new and extraordinary ways. This technique also allows tortoiseshell, horn and bone to be simulated (4037m and 4029). Glamour combined with comfort continues to be the defining principle of the Versace eyewear collection.
Colours Black, tortoiseshell and other faux bone or horn variants (I.E. the new stripey opaline havana 4037m 251/13) are the basis of versace’s 2004 colour palette. The occasional example of an unexpected colour also appears (I.E. opaque grey or transparent lilac). Plastics of varying tints are blended or placed next to one another and moulded for over a month to produce remarkable visual effects.
Lenses Lens hues echo those of the frames. Lenses are either degradè or one-tone. Often two colours are combined in the degradè versions. The lens material is nearly always cr, allowing incredible colour blending effects within the lens. All Versace sunglasses have 100% uv protection lenses.
Other remarks Brand imaging is constant, with the use of either the medusa or the gothic dv initials appearing on arms, joints or lenses - even both employed together (on arms of 4029) for less trend-driven, more commercial styles, a simpler plaque featuring the Versace written logo is used.
