Tints and gradients

Grey and green tints are suitable for most lenses. Brown also works well, but may affect how you see colours a little more. Amber glasses are excellent at reducing the amount of blue light that reaches your eyes. It is important to remember that different tints can affect colours that enter the eyes. Therefore, it may become evident that it is difficult to view specific colours in certain lenses.

You can also get gradient lenses, which usually range from fairly dark at the top of the lens to a clear bottom, but are also available in different gradations. Gradient lenses that are clear or light on the bottom make it easy to see the dash when you're driving, but are usually not effective enough if anything below your line of vision will be reflecting light up at you.
